These Terms of Service govern your use of Viglar. By creating an account or using Viglar, you agree to these Terms. If you use Viglar on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.
Viglar is operated by IT Ambit s.r.o., Mamateyova 10, 851 04 Bratislava, Slovakia, IČO: 51 646 552. Viglar provides website and domain monitoring, security checks, alerts, status pages, badges, and related services. These Terms apply to both free and paid use of Viglar.
Viglar monitors information and services that are accessible from the internet. Depending on your plan and configuration, this may include SSL certificates, DNS records, uptime, HTTP security headers, WHOIS or domain information, open ports, IP reputation, website content, security-related changes, and other monitoring checks. Viglar sends alerts when configured checks detect relevant changes or conditions. Some features and check types depend on your subscription plan.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. You must not share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorised persons to use your account. If you believe that your account has been compromised, you should contact us promptly at contact@viglar.com.
You may only add and monitor domains, websites, servers, or other systems that you own or are authorised to monitor. Viglar may perform active checks, including port scanning and website content or file checks, only after the required ownership or authorization verification has been completed. Publicly accessible information may be checked without installation on your system, but you remain responsible for ensuring that your use of Viglar is lawful and authorised. You must not use Viglar to scan, test, probe, or monitor systems belonging to third parties without appropriate permission.
You must not use Viglar to conduct attacks, denial-of-service activity, harassment, unauthorised security testing, credential attacks, exploitation, or other unlawful activity. You must not attempt to bypass Viglar security controls, verification requirements, plan limits, rate limits, or other technical restrictions. You must not interfere with the operation of Viglar or use the service in a way that could reasonably cause harm to Viglar, its infrastructure, other customers, or third parties.
Viglar offers free and paid plans. The features, domain limits, check intervals, notification channels, and other limits of each plan are described on the Viglar pricing page. Paid plans may include additional domains and other features according to the selected plan and any applicable add-ons. Enterprise plans may be subject to separately agreed terms where applicable. Viglar may introduce new features or modify existing features, provided that mandatory consumer rights are not affected.
Paid plans are subscription services billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis, according to the billing interval you select. Payments are processed by Stripe. Viglar does not store your full payment card number. By starting a paid subscription, you authorise the applicable recurring charges until the subscription is cancelled or otherwise terminated. The applicable price is shown before you confirm the purchase. Where required by law, applicable taxes may be added to the displayed price.
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time. Unless the subscription is terminated earlier for another lawful reason, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You keep access to the paid features until the end of that period and will not be charged for the next renewal. Cancelling a subscription does not by itself delete your Viglar account or domains.
If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within the applicable withdrawal period. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights. If you expressly request that a paid service begin before the end of the applicable withdrawal period, we may begin providing the service immediately. Where permitted by applicable law, if you subsequently exercise a withdrawal right before the end of that period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service provided before your withdrawal. Where applicable law requires additional information, confirmation, or express consent for the immediate start of the service, Viglar will obtain it during the purchase process.
Except where a refund is required by applicable law, these Terms do not provide a separate voluntary refund policy. This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights, statutory remedies, or rights arising from applicable rules on defective or improperly provided digital services.
If your plan includes a public status page or security badge, these features are optional and controlled by you. You decide whether to make a status page publicly accessible and whether to display a Viglar badge on your website. You may choose whether the badge displays your security score together with the phrase “Monitored by Viglar” or displays only “Monitored by Viglar”. If enabled, you may also configure automatic disabling of the public status page when your Viglar score falls below a threshold you select. You are responsible for deciding what information you make publicly available through these features.
Viglar is a monitoring and alerting service, not a guarantee that a website, domain, server, or other system is secure, available, uncompromised, or free from vulnerabilities. Monitoring results may contain false positives or false negatives, and some problems may not be detectable by the checks available in Viglar. Third-party outages, network conditions, DNS changes, firewalls, rate limiting, configuration changes, newly discovered vulnerabilities, and other factors may affect scan results. You remain responsible for the security, availability, backups, configuration, and operation of your own systems.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security controls on systems you monitor, keeping your domains and infrastructure under your control, maintaining backups, and reviewing Viglar alerts in a timely manner. You are also responsible for ensuring that any notification destinations you configure, including Telegram, Slack, Discord, or custom webhooks, are under your control or used with appropriate permission.
Viglar, its software, website, branding, logos, and related materials are owned by or licensed to IT Ambit s.r.o. and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Viglar during your subscription or free access, subject to these Terms. You retain ownership of content and information that you provide to Viglar, subject to the rights necessary for us to operate the service.
We aim to keep Viglar available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Viglar may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, infrastructure failures, network problems, security incidents, or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We may improve, modify, add, or remove features over time. Where a change materially affects a paid service, we will provide notice where required by applicable law.
We may suspend or restrict access to an account where reasonably necessary to protect Viglar, our infrastructure, other users, or third parties, including in cases of suspected unauthorised scanning, abuse, fraud, security threats, or material violation of these Terms. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. We may terminate an account where continued use would be unlawful or where a material violation cannot reasonably be resolved. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Viglar is provided as a monitoring and alerting service and is not a guarantee of the security, availability, integrity, or uninterrupted operation of your systems. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Viglar is not liable for failures or delays caused by network problems, DNS failures, firewall or rate-limiting rules, third-party services, notification providers, hosting providers, registrars, internet service providers, force majeure events, scheduled maintenance, security incidents, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. Viglar is also not responsible for a monitoring check failing, being delayed, producing a false positive or false negative, or an alert not reaching you because of a problem with an external notification channel or because you did not review or act on an alert. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Viglar is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages, or for business interruption or loss of business, revenue, data, or reputation resulting from your use of the service. You remain responsible for maintaining your own security controls, backups, redundancy, and other measures appropriate for your systems. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights, liability for intentional wrongdoing, or other liability that applicable law requires us to retain.
Some provisions of these Terms apply differently depending on whether you use Viglar as a consumer or in connection with a business, professional, or organisational activity. Consumer-specific rights and protections apply where you qualify as a consumer under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict mandatory rights that apply to consumers.
We may update these Terms when the Viglar service, applicable law, or our business practices change. The latest version will be published on this page together with its effective date. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide additional notice where required by applicable law. Continued use of Viglar after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules of another jurisdiction apply. Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising mandatory rights or bringing a claim before a competent court where applicable law permits it.
Questions about these Terms, subscriptions, cancellations, or your rights can be sent to contact@viglar.com.
