Get Started with Viglar

Follow these steps to start monitoring your website, receive alerts about important changes, and explore Viglar’s security features.

1. Add your first domain

Start by adding the website you want Viglar to monitor.

  • Enter your domain name.
  • Choose the checks and monitoring options available for your plan.
  • Save the domain to continue with setup.

2. Verify domain ownership

Some security checks require you to verify that you control the domain.

  • Add the DNS TXT verification record provided by Viglar.
  • Alternatively, use the HTML verification method if it is available.

Complete verification before enabling checks that require proof of ownership.

4. Explore DMARC reports

DMARC aggregate reports can help you understand which servers send email using your domain and whether those messages pass authentication.

  1. Review your SPF, DKIM and DMARC records.
  2. Use the Viglar Email Authentication Generator to prepare the records you need.
  3. If DMARC report collection is available for your account, follow its setup instructions and publish the required DMARC reporting address in DNS.
  4. Allow time for reporting mail servers to send reports, then review the data when it becomes available.

DMARC aggregate reports are not instant. Their availability depends on reporting mail servers and your DNS configuration.
